WEI Yiyin

Vice president of CASIC (China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation)

Wei Yiyin, male, Han Nationality, was born in Taian, Liaoning Province, China, in September 1962.
He started his career in August 1984 and was admitted to the Command Party of China in December 1995.
He is a researcher with a Doctor of Engineering degree in control science and engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and an M.S. degree in aircraft navigation and control system.
Successively he held the following posts:
-Technician, Tianjin Research Institute of Electric Science Co., Ltd.;
-Technician of Office 2, the Third Overall Planning Department, the Third Academy, Ministry of Aerospace Industry;
-Deputy Director of Office 12, the Third Overall Planning Department, the Third Academy, Ministry of Aerospace Industry;
-Director of Office 2, the Third Overall Planning Department, the Third Academy, Ministry of Aerospace Industry;
-Deputy Director, the Third Overall Planning Department, the Third Academy, China Aerospace Corporation;
-Director, the Research & Development Center, the Third Academy, China Aerospace Machinery and Electronic Corporation;
-Assistant to the Head of the Third Academy, CASIC;
-Chief Researcher, the Third Academy, CASIC;
-Director of the Science and Technology Committee, the Third Academy, CASIC;
-Deputy Head, the Third Academy, CASIC;
-Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the Third Academy, CASIC;
-Head, the Third Academy, CASIC.
He is a member of the National Committee of the 12th Session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
From August 2014 till now, he has been serving as a vice president of CASIC and a member of the Party Committee of CASIC.
